More than 30 years of trial and appellate experience, Saranjit has represented and advised corporations, statutory bodies, airlines and individuals on a broad range of issues associated with corporate and contractual disputes, transportation, aviation, construction arbitration and litigation, defamation, employment, manufacturing, infrastructure and energy, environmental and IT among others. He has also represented the Government of India in arbitration appeals, acted for various airlines in aviation accidents and passenger and cargo related litigation and a wide range of commercial and corporate litigation for various corporations and individuals.

Notable representations in aviation liability claims include advising the airlines and representing the insurers in connection to catastrophic aviation accidents and liability involving MH 370, MH 17 and liability claims in aviation accidents involving Singapore Airlines Flight 321 and Lao Airlines Flight 301 in Pakse, Laos. Saranjit also acted as lead counsel in the landmark Malaysian decision on Article 29 Montreal Convention 1999 and has also authored the Malaysian chapter on Aviation Law and Aviation Liability for 2 reputed international journals for a number of years.

Saranjit is a pragmatic problem solver and a natural strategist who is always focused on achieving the clients’ commercial objectives and goals by providing them with practical solutions.

Iman’s legal journey began with a formative stint as an intern at Messrs Saranjit Singh, where he first gained hands-on experience in the intricacies of legal practice. Following his internship, he completed his pupillage with the firm, a period during which he honed his skills and deepened his understanding of complex legal issues. This experience has been instrumental in equipping him with the essentials in handling a broad spectrum of civil and commercial disputes.

Iman’s primary areas of practice consist of matters relating to commercial debt recovery and execution proceedings, real property and construction disputes, tort-based claimsas well as personal and corporate insolvency.Iman also handles aviation claims for various commercial airlines and private jet companies on disputes involving carriage of passengers and cargo charters. Apart from litigation, Iman also provides advisory service to our corporate clients.

Iman regularly appears as the lead counsel in the High Court and Lower Courts for the briefs undertaken by the firm and as junior counsel before the Appellate Courts.
